Introduction
HIC Data Alchemist is a platform to import HIC clinical data into a centralised OMOP database.
This repository contains documentation about:
- OMOP - The interchange data model that we are using the transfer data
- Data Collection
- The principles we use for data collection (eg. how we will deal with missing values)
- The actual measurements we are collecting
We will approach the onboarding process by passing through a set of data bundles. Each new bundle introduces a new kind of data. Bundles themselves may be divided into phases to allow for incremental development and feedback. Almost all data bundles will require that a certain set of other bundles are fully implemented before they are begun. Sites will be expected to have completed all required bundles such that they pass quality evaluation before being allowed to submit data for a subsequent bundle.
For data to be able to be fully integrated into the data pipeline the HIC Person data bundle must be complete. However, it is recommended that a site completes all basics bundles & diagnoses. While this is more than the minimal required data set, it will ensure that sites are well placed to submit any and all data that could be requested by research studies.
